Dog Friendly Vacation Spots In Michigan

Dog Friendly Vacation Spots In Michigan – If you’re looking to get completely carried away, Michigan is the perfect vacation destination. Surrounded by four of the five great lakes, the land features stunning lake shores, deep forests, dramatic cliffs and high cliffs. This scene is matched by many of Michigan’s small towns, which are welcoming, dreamy towns. With so much scenery and a country feel, your visit to pet-friendly Michigan will set the stage for your future adventures.

Michigan is at its most spectacular in the fall, when the temperatures begin to drop and the trees begin to change color. If you’re planning your fall climbing trip, the show starts in September in the southern part of the country, but a few weeks earlier in the Upper Peninsula. Summer is another great time to travel to Michigan for pets – especially if you love the water. With temperatures in the low 80s, the weather is perfect for enjoying the state’s many beaches and water sports. Of course, hotel offers are rare during the summer and fall months. Hotel and lodging deals are better in the spring, but Michigan’s winters are harsh and the springs wet and muddy.

One of our favorite stops just a few hours from the shores of Lake Huron is Tawas Point! This dog beach is one of the few in Michigan that is actually fenced in, where dogs can run free in designated areas. The camp is also dog friendly, so you can bring your dog for a weekend of summer fun!
